Conférenciers pléniers invités :

  • Ernesto Altshuler

Ernesto Altshuler is Professor at the Physics Faculty, University of Havana in Cuba. He has carried out research in the fields of Superconductivity, Avalanche Dynamics in diverse physical scenarios, Granular Matter, dynamics of social insects and other subjects, always with a strong experimental accent.

  • Karol Bacik

Karol Bacik  is Instructor in Applied Mathematics at MIT, Cambridge, in the USA. He has worked on a range of problems in active flows and mathematical biology, including crowd dynamics.

  • Denis Bartolo

Denis Bartolo is Professor of Physics at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, in France. His research combines experiments, numerical simulations and theory to understand collectif phenomena in soft condensed matter and active matter.

  • Xiaowen Chen

Xiaowen Chen is a postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratory of Physics of École Normale Supérieure in Paris, France. She works on topics in theoretical biophysics, using both analytical and data-driven methods from statistical physics, and strives to understand the emergence of collective behavior in real biological networks, especially in neuronal networks and animal behavior.

  • Nathalie Vriend

Nathalie Vriend is Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder in the USA. She leads the Granular Flow Laboratory. She is an expert in performing detailed laboratory  experiments and targeted field work involving particulate flows such as sand and snow. She has active projects in granular rheology and avalanching, and dune structure and migration.

  • Iker Zuriguel

Iker Zuriguel is Professor at the Faculty of Science of the Universidad de Navarra in Spain. His group carries out studies on different problems related to granular media and other complex fluids. For this purpose, it has different calculation and measurement equipment where studies are carried out on clogging dynamics, flows in narrowing, compaction, etc.

  • Marta Gonzalez

Marta C. Gonzalez is Associate Professor of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Physics Research faculty in the Energy Technology Area (ETA) at the Lawrence Berkely National Laboratory in the USA. With the support of several companies, cities and foundations, her research team develops computer models to analyze digital traces of information mediated by devices.

  • Eleni Vlahogianni
Eleni Vlahogianni is Professor at the Department of Transportation Planning and Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The main thematic areas in which she is active include traffic analysis and forecasting, automatic and connected traffic, intelligent transport systems, traffic management and control and the application of advanced technologies and intelligent approaches to mobility and transport infrastructure management.
